Tento text byl napsán minulý rok jako reakce na tehdy polskou vládou nově schválený desetiletý plán lesního hospodaření, který umožňuje kácení stromů v chráněných porostech. Mnohonásobně se i zvýšil limit těžby dřeva, která v takovémto rozsahu dle vědců způsobí zhroucení původního lesního ekosystému. Nedávno se skutečně v Bělověžských lesích začalo plošně kácet, což pokračuje i přes protesty dodnes. Není se čemu divit, vládnoucí strana PiS (Právo a spravedlnost) je úzce propojena s dřevařskou lobby. Prastarý Bělověžský prales je nejvzácnějším evropským nížinným pralesem a útočištěm mnoha ohrožených druhů rostlin a živočichů jakými jsou např. zubři, vlci, rysi či mnohé druhy vzácných ptáků.
This song was written last year in response to the forest management plan which was then newly approved by Polish government and which allows trees to be cut in the protected areas. This plan also multiplicated the timber harvest limit which will, according to scientists, cause the original forest ecosystem to collapse. Recently, the area of Białowieża Forest has begun to fall flat, and the logging continues despite the protests to this day. There is no wonder, PiS ruling party (Law and Justice) is closely interconnected with the wood lobby. The ancient Białowieża Forest is the most precious European lowland forest and a refuge for many endangered species of plants and animals such as bisons, wolves, lynxes or many rare bird species.
